From the ground-level parking area in front of the main entrance, you can easily access:
• the hotel reception
• the conference rooms
• the restaurant
You can also step out onto the beautiful terrace of Hotel Bulwar, overlooking the Vistula River.
From the underground parking garage, you can take the elevator up to the ground floor – straight to the reception area – and from there, head wherever you like.
If you stay on level -1, you can move smoothly to the SPA area (equipped with adjustable beds) or to the Bulwar Club. Access to the Club is provided with the assistance of a hotel staff member, who will help you navigate the corridor maze with a wheelchair.
From the reception level, you can also access the historic Racławickie Barracks building, which now houses all of our hotel rooms – barrier-free, of course.
Rooms are a topic of their own:Hotel standardization requires us to have one room fully adapted for guests with disabilities. This room features additional bathroom accessories, lower-positioned switches, and a spacious central area – perfect for maneuvering a wheelchair or placing rehabilitation equipment.
That said, the truth is that over half of our rooms – while not equipped with those extra accessories – are accessible to wheelchair users:
-
Most rooms are located on floors that can be reached directly from the elevator, with no thresholds along the way.
-
The rooms are spacious, and there is always enough room beside at least one side of the bed to comfortably position a wheelchair.
-
While the showers aren't open-style (as in Room 107), they are wide and threshold-free – and in most cases, guests using wheelchairs have already found them accessible.
How is that possible?
A few years ago, we had the honor of serving as the official hotel base for the Polish Wheelchair Rugby Championships – several times. During those events, we hosted over 100 wheelchair users at once. So yes – accessibility at Hotel Bulwar is truly tried and tested.
Hotel Bulwar is located in the heart of Toruń’s beautiful Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Like all medieval cities, it features charming yet sometimes challenging cobblestone streets. However, from Hotel Bulwar, you can reach the vast majority of local attractions without needing to navigate stairs.
And remember – the best rates are always available when you book directly with us.
